A Course on the Imaginal

The Offering

For A Course on the Imaginal: Cultivating the Visionary Self the highest award available is 60% with the average award being 40-25% off. Click here to see if you qualify and apply. 

The Process

  • The scholarship program is needs-based, and is focused on being the most effective. Therefore, it is prioritized to support traditionally marginalized communities with regard to race, sexual/gender identity, class, and socioeconomics.
  • Payment plans are available in installments.
  • Scholarships will close 3 weeks before the course starts.
  • Awards will be communicated via email. Please note the deadlines associated with the course. Applicants that don't receive an award are automatically put on the waitlist for unclaimed scholarship awards.
  • If you are awarded a scholarship award, you will have 7 days only to enroll in the course to claim your award before it expires.
  • If you are not able to use your scholarship award, please inform us immediately so that we can offer it to others on the waitlist. Unclaimed scholarships awards are re-allocated to those on the waitlist 10 days after the announcement.
  • Awards can not be transferred or deferred to other courses.
  • Awards can not be transferred  to other students 
  • Awards are for A Course on the Imaginal: Cultivating the Visionary Self only.

If (m)any of these describe your experience, please consider requesting the full 60% 

  • supporting children/elders or other dependents
  • work is limited (including due to immigration or incarceration status) 
  • currently or recently experiencing housing instability 
  • primarily use a currency in a country that has been historically exploited by the Global North

If (m)any of these describe your experience, please consider requesting between 40%-25%.

  • rent your home
  • budget your finances
  • completed high school and/or college
  • are a citizen/documented permanent resident of the country you live in
  • have some money in savings or retirement accounts

If (m)any of these describe your experience, please consider passing on the scholarship so that we can provide more to others.

  • own your home
  • have investments, retirement accounts, and/or inherited wealth
  • travel recreationally
  • are a citizen/documented permanent resident of the country you live in
  • your education and/or living accommodations were paid for by your parents, grandparents, or other relatives/connections
  • friends and family could provide support in times of financial need or transitions
  • you are able to claim parts of this course as a business expense

Solidarity Economics

A Course on the Imaginal centers solidarity economics. In the past we have supported:

  • - Jóvenes por la Defensa de la Amazonia (Ecuador)
  • - Mujeres de Wayú (Colombia)
  • - Favela Da Paz (Brasil)
  • - OTEPIC Permaculture (Kenya)

Over the first four years we have given $70,000 in contributions through course tuition and matched donations. For the 2026 cycle, 15% of course proceeds will be dedicated to supporting frontline communities and social impact initiatives. As our community grows, so does our collective contribution.
