Alixa García will be keynoting the Bloom Summit: Midwifing Change.
Keynote will take place during the opening ceremony on Nov 13, at 4:45pm EST
EVENT RUNS: November 13-16, 2025
The Midwifing Change Summit is a participatory gathering at the thresholds of change.
Together, we’ll explore how collective inner and outer development can shape cultures of care, how conflict can open into connection, how belonging can become fertile ground for renewal. There will be spaces for rest, play, grief, and inspiration.
With 40+ sessions led by thought leaders, elders, and courageous creatives from around the world - plus open spaces for participants to share their wisdom - this is a truly co-created, community-centered, experience.
Rooting in the Sacred: A Journey of Reverence & Reimagining
March 2025-February 2026
Alixa García will be joining the Thrive Network as a guest teacher for their new course Rooting In The Sacred, a yearlong journey with a vibrant network of seekers, innovators and changemakers reimagining spirituality for these times.
Guest teachers include: Krista Tippett (Author & host of On Being), Bayo Akomolafe (philosopher and speaker), Prentis Hemphill (activist and author), john powell (Othering & Belonging Institute), Mirabai Starr (Author & Teacher), Alixa García (Author, Speaker), Norma Wong (Zen Master), Lama Rod Owens (Author, Buddhist Minister), Valarie Kaur (Author & Speaker), and Lyla June (Indigenous musician, Scholar).
This yearlong online course is designed to guide participants on a deeply personal and collective journey into the emerging futures of spirituality. Through a curated blend of reflection, practice, ritual-making, storytelling, and beloved community building, participants will explore timeless wisdom, embrace the dynamic creativity of contemporary practices, and weave a tapestry of meaning that meets the realities of our times.
Conscious Growth Convergence
Alixa García is thrilled to be performing on the main stage (with a band!) and DJing Saturday night at the Conscious Growth Convergence.
She will also be facilitating a creative somatic workshop on Friday, titled "Rooting Our Soul Commitment."
The Conscious Growth Convergence is a four-day gathering rooted in community resilience, earth-based wisdom, and cultural change. Set on the ancestral lands of the Kalapuya people. The setup of this convergence is unique in that everyone attending will be in a learning space together, through various sessions that include Earth-based techniques such as permaculture and controlled burning, herbalism, embodied practices, spiritual attunement, and artistic modalities, all occurring simultaneously throughout the land. Then we collectively move into music and dance.
There's also a wood-fired sauna and tea service.
Global Ethical Stocktake
Under the formal leadership of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and UN Secretary-General António Guterres, with key support from the COP30 Presidency, the Brazilian Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, and the UNFCCC, the Global Ethical Stocktake (GES) elevates the moral, ethical, philosophical, and cultural dimensions of the climate crisis with a broader invitation to civil society.
As part of this initiative, six regional dialogues will take place around the world—in Africa, Asia, Central and South America and the Caribbean, Europe, North America, and Oceania. Each dialogue will gather diverse voices—including youth, elders, Indigenous leaders, artists, philosophers, scientists, and faith representatives—to reflect on the deeper values that should guide climate action.
These dialogues will help shape a global moral framework for COP30 in Brazil in November 2025, complementing the technical and policy-driven pathways outlined in the Paris Agreement.
Alixa García was invited as a poet to listen intently and create a poem that reflects the wisdom garnered in the 6th and final continental conversation held in New York City.
Twenty high-impact civil representatives from Mexico, Greenland, Canada, and the US will be in conversation. Some of the attendees will include COP30 President Ambassador André Aranha Corrêa do Lago, Marina Silva, First Lady of Brazil, Janja silva, the Minister for the Environment and Climate Change of Brazil, Robin Wall Kimmerer (author and environmentalist), David Suzuki, (Canadian academic, science broadcaster, and environmental activist,) and others.
What Alixa will create will be part of an immersive exhibition in the COP30 Blue Zone, in Belem, Brazil, the primary venue for official negotiations, the Leaders' Summit, and national pavilions, accessible to official delegations, heads of state, accredited observers, and media.
Return to Earth
I’m honored to be a lead facilitator and DJ at Return to Earth, Norfolk, UK, presented by the Naia Trust. This gathering will bring together Earth-centered practitioners, guides, ritualists, artists, and facilitators - those who bridge the human and the more-than-human and create spaces that invite deeper relationship with the living world, with the wild, the unseen, the sacred.
Return to Earth will be a co-created experiment. It’s a gathering where facilitators and participants alike come to weave their practices, exchange knowledge, break bread, challenge assumptions. and explore what animist ways of being can teach us about coming into right relationship with ‘nature.’
Burning Man- DJ sets & Art under the Man
I’m DJing and co-hosting a night for Gaza on Tuesday, August 26th, from 8:30-11 pm at The Heart Collective (9:45 & F). Come for a night of dance (SWANA house and AfroHouse), altar building, and a fireside discussion.
Over the week I’ll have a couple nights and sunrise sets on SkyTing, a reconstructed fire truck turned club house on wheels. Look for the red flowing flags.
My art, Gaza Grows, will be exhibited under the Man as part of the Re-genera immersive installation, co-created by Science Design Studio.
The Art of Alchemy
Transforming the Macrocosms by Tending to the Microcosms
La Fortuna, Costa Rica
The Art of Alchemy is an integrative approach to re-membering our deepest wisdom and actualizing our collective service. By working with creative and decolonial somatics we will prepare the mind, body, and spirit to sit in a transformative series of ceremonies with our mycelial plant allies in the heart of the Jungle. This program is designed to guide you through the process of both inner alchemy, a deep self inquiry & collective alchemy, the tending and transforming of relationships and community.
Our 7 night journey will help you connect with the brilliance of your body’s intelligence and your sacred soul purpose. By learning to honor the parts of you that were hidden away and lovingly embrace the complexity of your being, you can move into wholeness and authentically create new beginnings.
With conscious action, we shift from an ordinary life into an extraordinary existence — through ceremony and remembrance we can access our innermost wisdom to help us plant seeds of awakening and world-making that honors life.
Guided by facilitators Karina Turtzo, Julian DeVoe, Alixa García and Claudia Cuentas - Immerse in a journey of sacred work held in circles of collective care.

A COURSE ON THE IMAGINAL: Cultivating the Visionary Self
In the face of compounding historical and present-day traumas, environmental collapse, and chronic uncertainty, we know that we need something radically different. Yet, many of us feel the pain of not knowing where to begin. In this course, we view the wound as the portal and grief as the ceremony as we center the role of imagination in times of collapse. Here, we explore and exercise our creative muscle and find in nature the ultimate creative force as her powerful teachings serve our awakening. When we encounter and encourage the wild dance of the artist within, the creative self becomes part of the visionary collective.
On this journey, we center our living wholeness. We use creative somatics to bring bodily awareness to our imagination praxis, learn to work with attention-intensive practices and the autonomic nervous system, activate wakeful dreaming, employ creative writing and visual art, work with solfeggio and binaural beat frequencies, and many more creative outlets to do the important work of bodily, energetic, ancestral, and future generational tending needed for these times. We recenter the Earth while bringing into focus our cosmic responsibility. We integrate creativity as a regular practice in our lives and the means by which we commune.
As we move into the heart of the 6th mass extinction, how do we re-enter the ceremony of life and awaken the Imaginal within? In times of collapse, how do we fall without falling apart? Come, let us sit in circles of wonder and creative devotion as we embark on this 6-month personal and collective journey. Together, we will form beloved community, sharing our experiences and learning from each other. Creativity is the antidote to destruction; when we create with intention, our creations become the invocation, and the space inside and between us becomes the sanctuary.
“Alixa García’s Course on the Imaginal took all of us on a grand journey into our imaginations, into our individual and collective trauma and grief, into the arms of our ancestors, into a collective, collaborative vision of possibility and world-building. It was, in a few words, magic alchemy in a time of collective and individual grief, fear, and loss. After decades of doing anti-racist work, Alixa’s course showed me how to enter entirely new creative, imaginal dimensions of self, community, and spirit. This was one of the most beautiful, moving! collective and individual journeys I have ever been on. Whole universes opened up inside of me, and I was so honored to witness whole universes open up in my fellow imaginals too. Alixa is a magical alchemist of the most unique and wonderful order. Pure poetry!”
– Camas Davis, 2022 Imaginal
Course runs from October 12, 2024 -March 16, 2025

Entering the Home of Imagination: A Liberatory Practice for Just & Thriving Worlds
Working towards just and thriving worlds requires profound imagination. To have a robust liberatory practice, we need to diligently exercise our visionary and somatic muscles. In this two-part workshop, we will use creative writing, communal creation, visualization, art-making, and what I call Creative Somatics and Attention Intensive Practices to make a home for intuition and coax the artist within so that our inner creator can play with full permission to fail, explore, and reinvent, eventually finding homeostasis within us. Because joy shares its palms with sorrow, in our second session, we will be with grief as a ceremony in order to create more space within our particular portal for the visions wanting to come through.
