Since 2015, I’ve been conducting interviews with undocumented and first-generation LGBTQ immigrants. Inspired by each interviewee, I’ve been creating large-scale, multidimensional paintings in handcrafted lightboxes. Through the use of watercolor, collage, motion, and soundscape, “Shadow Boxing” weaves a holistic, multi-sensory experience of diverse narratives that deepen the cultural and social conversation of—and within—our marginalized identities.

Inspirándome en cada entrevistado, he estado creando pinturas multidimensionales a gran escala en cajas de luz hechas a mano. A través del uso de acuarela, collage, movimiento y paisaje sonoro, "Shadow Boxing" teje una experiencia holística y multisensorial de diversas narrativas que profundizan la conversación cultural y social de, y dentro de, nuestras identidades marginadas.
